Thanks for being part of writing the future of blockchain and digital assets in Aotearoa at CryptoWinter26
Stay tuned for details for 2027.
CryptoWinter26 brought together New Zealand’s digital asset community for two days of practical discussion, global perspectives and valuable connections.
Highlights included a keynote from Global Blockchain Business Council CEO Sandra Ro on tokenisation, digital payments and agentic AI; cross-Tasman insights into Australia’s evolving digital asset market; and robust conversations on stablecoins, digital identity, crypto-asset reporting and the future of banking.
Speakers and panellists also explored where blockchain is delivering value beyond crypto markets — from property and commodity finance to cross-border payments and verifiable impact — alongside the policy, consumer protection and infrastructure needed to support responsible growth.
A consistent message emerged: New Zealand has the capability to play a meaningful role in the global digital asset economy, but progress will depend on clear regulation, trusted infrastructure, practical use cases and collaboration across industry and government.
Thank you to Binance, CryptoWinter26’s naming rights sponsor, and to all speakers, attendees, moderators and partners who contributed to the conversation.
Created by Blockchain Forum New Zealand and Tech New Zealand, the event brought together regulators, innovators, investors, enterprises, and builders
committed to advancing the future of digital assets in Aotearoa and across the region.
CryptoWinter26 was made possible with the support of our sponsors and partners. Thank you for helping us bring Aotearoa New Zealand’s blockchain and digital assets community together to connect, share knowledge and help shape the future of digital assets.
