Rocky has led the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs’ (DIA) supervision of the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) sector since 2019 and continues to drive the strategic supervisory approach for the sector in New Zealand. He was also a member of the project team that contributed to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) report, Understanding and Mitigating the Risks of Offshore Virtual Asset Service Providers. Prior to joining the DIA, Rocky served as a Specialist Investigator within the Hidden Economy Group at Inland Revenue New Zealand, where he focused on investigating tax-related crimes as predicate offences.
